I have been sampling the button-lock flipper market. Love the action and design. I have an example from nearly every make I can find. The PFE08 Grow is just about the finest I've found. Even at 10x the price, it's not better. What a great design.
The Grow's fit and weight are exceptional in hand. The flip, smooth, distinct. The button release only got smoother, the blade drops back on gravity. This knife just feels right. Razor sharp out of the box. The G10 shape and feel is quite grippy and the Ti clip fits snugly with the rest of the grip. Quite fiddly action you can get the flick & button release smooth with just a little use. The quality, QC, gives you the feel of a much more expensive knife. And a superb EDC
First it arrived quickly and in a package of pristine condition.
The knife is really beautiful, fits well in my hand.
However, If I can point some things I would have liked better:
The Detent is too strong, hence the thumbstud, too close to the body of the knife, is hard to operate. The detent, is perfect for the Flipper-tab opening though.
The button is way too small, and you have to push it way too deep to operate the folding of the blade
The laynard hole is way way too down on the body, hence, once a cord is going throught the hole, it blocks the knife from going downer in the pocket.
And last but not least, I would have liked a Jimping on the back of the blade.
Except for these points the blade is gorgeous, razor sharp and the overall feeling is really great.
Great knife, for the price, that is certainly going to be even better in the next improved versions.
